First off, I just love the title. Hired To Quit, Inspired To Stay. I’m not a business owner but still got so much out of this book. I think what the author and his partner are doing at their companies is wonderful. He wants to see people grow and it’s obvious he thrives from doing so! Yes, he is running a business and wants to generate revenue just like anyone else but at the end of the day his mission is serving people and making the world a better place. This was a very interesting and original book. I plan to reread it again because I enjoyed it so much.

I have worked in a customer service-oriented call center so I speak from experience; this book offers many great tips for growing your business and creating an excellent work culture. Many companies overlook the culture and well-being of their employees and focus mainly on profit. What they fail to see, and Handley talks about this extensively in the book, is profits are directly tied to work culture and the health and well-being of your employees. I think I would have stuck around at the call center longer if my employer had used this book as a guide for running their business.
